Helene made landfall in Florida's Big Bend region Thursday night as a massive Category 4 hurricane -- the strongest hurricane to make landfall in the Big Bend on record.

More than 150 people have died and hundreds are still missing as a result of Hurricane Helene and its aftermath, many caught in historic flooding.

As search, rescue and recovery efforts continue in the wake of Hurricane Helene, more deaths have been confirmed. NBC News' Marissa Parra reports that many residents of isolated mountain communities are still waiting for help.
