It recently released the bank holidays for October 2024 and will observe a total of 15 non-working days, including State Assembly Elections, Gandhi Jayanti, which will be observed on October 2, Wednesday, and regional and state-specific holidays like Navratri, Durga Puja, and more declared by the different state governments.

Please note that the central government holidays apply to all banks, the public and private sectors. Though the holiday dates may vary from one bank to another, there may also be other state-wise bank holidays.

Banks in many parts of India are likely to be closed for at least four days, starting from Monday. However, the holidays vary from city to city, and not every bank will be closed all over India.
