Progress report on Category 4 Hurricane Kirk: Thursday, Oct 3 update from the NHC

SURF: Swells generated by Kirk are spreading westward and are expected to reach portions of the Leeward Islands on Friday, Bermuda and the Greater Antilles on Saturday, and the east coast of the United States, Atlantic Canada, and the Bahamas on Sunday. These swells are likely to cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions.

Thursday, Oct 3: Latest developments on Category 3 Hurricane Kirk from the NHC

On Thursday at 11 am, the National Hurricane Center issued an advisory stating that Category 3 Hurricane Kirk is 1130 miles east of the Northern Leeward Islands and 1660 miles southwest of the Azores, with maximum sustained wind of 125 mph. It’s moving 10 mph to the northwest.
