Lee is a passion project from Kate Winslet that tells the story of former model and photographer Lee Miller. Lee focuses on Miller's time in Europe during World War Two, documenting the realities of warfare for Vogue magazine.

Of the correspondents to cover the Second World War, one of the most famous was Lee Miller. Working for Vogue and traveling with the US Army, Miller captured several harrowing and history-defining moments, including the Blitz and the Allied liberation of concentration camps.

Miller was an American photographer who became a correspondent for British Vogue during World War II, shooting everything from London after the Blitz to the liberation of Dachau. In 1945, David E. Scherman took a rather famous photo of her in Hitler’s bathtub in Munich.

The new movie starring Kate Winslet tells the story of photographer Lee Miller, who made indelible images of suffering during World War II.

In addition to Winslet as Miller, the cast includes Alexander Skarsgård as Roland Penrose, Andy Samberg as Life magazine photographer David Scherman, and Marion Cotillard as Solange d’Ayen, Miller’s friend and fashion editor of French Vogue.
